A Long History of Working and Cooperating with other Non-Profit Organizations
JISRF has had a long history of working and cooperating with other non-profit organizations. This particular section will focus on our current commitments of mutual cooperation to assist in aiding these other fine organizations in fulfilling their missions. It also provides JISRF added capacity to expand its own services and experience to achieve its own mission.
Arizona Orthopedic Education Foundation
The Arizona Orthopedic Education Foundation (AOEF) is a 501 (c)(3) private operating foundation created in 1998 by internationally recognized Phoenix surgeon Anthony K. Hedley, M.D., to support educational activities in orthopaedics utilizing interactive and multi media technology.
Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society (APAS)
A small group of twenty orthopaedic arthroplasty surgeons from the Asia-Pacific region met on the Gold Coast of Queensland, in Australia, in 1997 to discuss the need for a scientific body to foster and represent the academic and professional needs of the region. The Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society – APAS - was born out of that meeting.
California Orthopaedic Association
California Orthopaedic Association's mission is to protect orthopedic surgeon's right to practice quality musculoskeletal care by monitoring and taking an active role in legislative and regulatory issues impacting orthopaedic practice and their patients.
Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education
The Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education is dedicated to engaging in orthopaedic research and education to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and care of all patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF)
OREF is the one foundation serving the entire orthopaedic community. In 1955, leaders of the major professional organizations in the specialty - the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society - established the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation as a means of supporting research and building the scientific base of clinical practice.
The International Congress for Joint Reconstruction
The International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR), a new community of orthopaedic surgeons who have come together to improve patient care through innovative education formats.
The Shepherd Centre
The Shepherd Centre is a charity which began in 1970 helping deaf and hearing-impaired children learn to listen and speak so they can reach their individual potential. Over 30% of children attending our early intervention program have additional disabilities to hearing loss.
